1. What information of yours does ActiveRelease.NET collect?

In order to learn how to better serve the healcare professionals that visit this website and have membership(s) in it, ActiveRelease.NET must collect information so we can understand what best serves the healthcare industry.  While visitors are not required to register for any of our services, various Products and Services may not function to your benefit unless you do.

  • Personally identifiable information refers to data that tells us specifically who you are, such as your name and postal address when given, which may be collected in addition to the anonymous data described above.

  • Correspondence: If you contact ActiveRelease.NET, we may keep a record of that correspondence. We do not collect the email addresses of those who communicate with ActiveRelease.NET via email, and then use those addresses for other purposes later, other than to respond to contact made with us.

2. Who is collecting the information?

When you register for a Website Service or sign up to recieve eNewsletters, this information is used within New World Computers, the builder, operator and owner of the ActiveRelease.NET services.  If any data is collected for any other parties, we will specify so at the point that information is collected.  In this way you know at all times how information may be used.

ActiveRelease.NET occasionally runs promotions and events.  In the course of notifying members to eNewsletters and Website Services, we may, at our option, include advertisements in messages sent.  However, any information such as your name, email address and other personal information is never given to those advertisers.

3. What are "cookies" and how does ActiveRelease.NET use them?

Cookies collect passive, anonymous information.  This manner of technology plays an important role in making the internet function.  They do not collect personal information, only where an anonymous user's time on the website, the pages they visit, as well as what kind of web browser they may use.  This is particularly helpful in designing web pages that will work in your browser properly.

Since much dis-information is spread on the internet about their use, an accurate definition is in order:

A cookie is a small text file containing a unique identification number that is transferred from a Web site to the hard drive of your computer and passively track its activities on a given website.  A cookie will not allow a Web site to learn any personally identifiable information (such as your real name and address) that you have not otherwise disclosed.

Cookies can allow ActiveRelease.NET to automatically remember your Web browser when you visit.

4. How does ActiveRelease.NET use the information it collects?

Allow products to be delivered efficiently. By storing certain preference information we can remember you the next time you log into our services and perhaps greet you, remember what color you chose for a page design, etc.

  • ActiveRelease.NET may choose to user overall statistical information (no personal information about individuals) from visitors to the website when third parties inquire as to advertising on our website. We may  disclose to advertisers the numbers of users who have certain demographic characteristics such as how many of our members are from a particular country, and the number of those people who have seen and "clicked" on a particular display. We will also disclose to those advertisers the overall demographics available regarding who saw and "clicked" on their advertisement. In addition, we may disclose results from anonymous online surveys to third-party advertisers. No personally identifiable information will be disclosed as part of this process.

Popup ads and malicious scripts are scripts in the coding of a web page designed to call popup ads, and methods to redirect a user to another website. Specifically in this case to redirect a visitor without their permission to another website. Our policy on this practice is strictcly to not allow it. Scripts of this type take a visitor to an ad or page without their choosing to go there. Our site uses no deceptive links and we do not allow any on the pages of any providers. If a provider chooses to have an ad on their page, we allow that provided the visitor is given the opportunity to click on the ad and choose for themselves whether to go there. Any scripts designed to take a visitor to another page without their express permission will be deleted by our staff immediately.
