ART helps severe Carpal Tunnel Syndrome.

In April 2001, I saw my family doctor because of severe numbness and pain in my hands and lower arms. He referred me to a hand surgery clinic where I was diagnosed with severe Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. I was told that surgery on both hands was my best bet for relief - they couldn't guarantee that the surgery would completely get rid of my pain or if it did, how long it would last. Plus, I would have to be out of work for at least 3 weeks per hand and I couldn't afford that.

So, I tried acupuncture for a few months. I was ready to give that up when I heard about Dr. Glenn Hyman and his Active Release Therapy. I started seeing him in Jan. 2002 - 3 times a week at first. The treatment is painless and lasts only about 10 minutes. After a month, I was down to twice a week, and now I go only when I feel the need - I haven't been to see Dr. Glenn in over a month!! I still have a little numbness in the morning, but that's about it and that goes away after I've been up awhile. There is no more pain at night - I sleep the night through - before the ART. I'd get up several times with the pain.

I am so grateful to have found Dr. Hyman and that his therapy has kept me from having to have surgery.
